Cruisers in a rowCruising at Glenmar
Glenmar has a very active cruising fleet. While we are based out of Middle River area, we have been known to cruise to far away destinations such as Delaware City, Crisfield, St. Mary’s City, among others. We typically have an extended cruise called the “Family Cruise” and several weekend, more local, cruises during our active season. Favorite destinations include Swan Creek, Corsica River, Still Pond and many, many more. Each cruise has activities that are designed to entertain and include all of our cruisers from children through adult. The cruises are intended to promote fun and friendship, and to encourage Glenmar members, especially those who are new to cruising, to take an active part in their club’s activities.

Family activities are what set Glenmar apart from the other boating clubs on the Bay. Children are not simply tolerated on our cruises; they are an integral part of them. There are activities such as treasure hunts, dinghy races, piñata bashes, and our infamous “Rasta-seafarian” to entertain and delight the young and young-at-heart. If you are new to sailing or a seasoned sailor, you are sure to find something in our club for your pleasure.

Want to meet up with us on the water? Check out the calendar, listen to Channel 72 for updated information or better yet, hail us on Channel 72 and ask where we are! We are always glad to welcome new friends.
