Well, it's official! I've met with the Middle River Yacht Club Board and they seem like nice folks. They agreed to allow us to hold our general meetings at their club, welcoming us as a fellow club. They are also ok with us having our pot-luck dinners there before our meeting. We will, however, have to find other accommodations for any parties or events we have as it may interfere with their functions. The fact that we meet on Tuesdays is a benefit as there is not much club activity at the MRYC. They ask that we purchase our beverages from them and clean up after ourselves. No problem! Additionally, I wish to make you aware that if you are hungry before a non-pot luck meeting, they sell (very inexpensively) frozen pizza and hamburgers which heat up to be quite tasty.

Next Tuesday, (March 28, 2006) will be a pot luck dinner. Doors open at 6:30 and dinner starts at 7:00. Meeting begins at 8:00. Since this is our first pot-luck in our new facility, I've extended an invitation to Middle River Yacht Club to join us for the dinner as a way for us to get acquainted. As such, I understand that people would not mind making extra food to help show a welcome to our new hosts. I also hope that many will come out to see this fine facility and meet the folks at this club. See you there Tod Herrick, Commodore Glenmar Sailing Association
